April Modern Irish Quilters Block

This month I followed the instructions Angela gave us to make these corner triangle blocks.  She asked for two blocks of nine 3.5 inch squares.  She also asked for ‘happy’ fabric, so I included some of my favorites.  The yellow bridges and black bird fabric are from my IPS Summer challenge quilt, where all of the fabrics I used were from Violet Craft’s Waterfront Park line, inspired by Portland, Oregon.  I also used some of my favorite prints from a charm pack of Bonnie and Camielle leftover from my Sewing Circle Tote.  Finally, another favorite was the goldfinch fabric I used to make an apron!

I can’t wait for next month!  I should also get my block prepared, I host June!
